Just a reminder that the Eastern Music Festival Application Deadline is coming up on March 10th. We need to have all applications and recordings in our office by that date. If you find that you will not make that deadline, then send an email to Melissa at admissions@easternmusicfestival.org to see if an extension can be granted. If you need to send your materials by FedEx or UPS and need a physical address, you can send them to:

EMF String Fellowship Auditions
I want to clarify the application process for the String Fellowships.
If you are applying for a string fellowship (violin, viola or cello), then you need to print out the Fellowship Application that is on our website and NOT fill out the online application form. You can find the Fellowship Application online at: http://www.easternmusicfestival.org/pdf/2009FellowshipApplication.pdf. We can also mail you a catalog that includes the Fellowship Application if needed.
In addition, Fellowship Applicants can not do a live audition as there is not enough time to hear the complete repertoire list that is required for these awards. You MUST send in a DVD audition instead.

Application for the Festival
For those of you who will be auditioning at one of our live audition locations, please be sure to submit your application form (online or mail) prior to your audition date if possible. That way, if we are missing some crucial information, we can ask you at the audition!

Eastern Music Festival will be holding auditions in Seattle next weekend!
The auditions are on Saturday, January 17th at the University of Washington from 2:00-6:00pm. They will be held in Brechemin Auditorium.
You need to schedule an audition time through the Festival. You can request a time online at http://www.easternmusicfestival.org/audition.php OR call toll-free (877) 833-6753 x 27.
The spots are filling up fast, so set up your time today!

Apply now for 2009!
Just a reminder that if you apply online by January 1st, we will waive half of the application fee! You do not need to have your audition materials in by then, JUST the application. This is a great way to save yourself (or your parents) a little money!

2009 Orchestra Brochures
We have just mailed the 2009 Orchestra Brochures and will get the Piano Brochures and the Catalogs mailed shortly after Thanksgiving.
Most of the live audition locations and dates are now on our website, so be sure to sign up for a time as they fill up fast!
Don't forget that the application fee is only $25 if you submit your application prior to January 1, 2009. You don't need to submit your recording by then, just the application!
